Deborah Jones
Director of Academic Affairs
Deborah Jones is CEA’s Director of Academic Affairs and brings to this role extensive leadership experience in diverse higher education settings. Her chief responsibility is to strengthen the valued partnership with the University of New Haven, CEA’s university of record. A leader and innovator, she also guides the development of and adherence to academic policies and procedures across CEA’s Global Campus network and in other academic operations. In addition, she oversees academic advising, placement examination processes, learning resources, and libraries.
Before joining CEA, Ms. Jones served as Vice Provost - Curriculum at High-Tech Institute, Inc. in Phoenix. In several leadership roles with the company, she managed complex accreditation requirements and led a staff of curriculum developers and instructional designers for both residential and online learning environments. Her commitment to high academic quality has been a hallmark of her career.
Ms. Jones is currently completing her Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership at the University of Phoenix. Her dissertation focuses on teaching strategies for the virtual classroom. She received her MA in Management from Webster University and her BS in Business from Excelsior College.
