Madrid is still reeling from the celebrations following the June 29th 1-0 win against Germany in the Euro Cup Championship. For the first time since 1964, the talented Spanish football team ended the curse and delivered a victory for Spain. The festivities continued, spilling into the streets of Madrid, as native Rafael Nadal was named Wimbledon champion the following Sunday. Spain, a respectable competitor in the sports arena for almost 20 years, has left its mark time and again winning 69 Olympic medals since 1992, including 23 by Spanish women. Don’t just read about the spirit of Madrid, experience it for yourself! Check out CEA’s Madrid programs. |
