What Faculty Are Saying
"Students say time and time again how impressed they are with the opportunity to study about and in the same place as many well-known individuals from former generations of LGBT people. We retrace the steps of many important figures in Paris along the banks of the Seine and in the Marais district. This is the perfect study abroad experience to complement students in a variety of majors- Women's, Gender and Sexuality studies, history, psychology, French studies, and Urban studies- who are looking for a practical, hands-on learning experience." – Dr. Denis Provencher, University of Maryland, Baltimore County
“CEA (Global Education) customized the field program for us by allowing our UNH staff to outline the needs and goals envisioned for our students. CEA staff worked in partnership with us – developing a program that implemented our academic ideas for our students, while also giving our students a true ‘Italian’ immersion experience of living in the country. … I felt that CEA was quite flexible with this group of students and our Criminal Justice theme. For example, CEA arranged for us to visit a confiscated Mafioso’s summer residence. This was a pleasant ‘extra’ CEA staff prepared for us, and an interesting addition to the local coursework. Bravo!” – Elizabeth Tortora, University of New Haven
“I needed a company that would provide a solid business backbone to my program and follow through on prospective students. … CEA (Global Education) had the expertise needed to handle travel, lodging, tours, logistics, marketing, applications, deposits, etc. Equally important was CEA’s interest and willingness to follow up with prospective students. … CEA has the whole package: responsiveness, innovation, technology and professionalism. This is the case not only in the U.S., but with their staff abroad as well.” – Paul Melendez, University of Arizona
“I carefully researched all of the many considerations involved and found CEA (Global Education) to be the most amenable and adaptable. The staff was wonderful – academic, kind, sensitive, ‘real’ – and made me feel able to trust in their good faith and ultimate good judgment. My experience has borne out the accuracy of my expectations. … I believe that hard work and intelligent management should be recognized for what it is, since it doesn’t come easy and is rare. CEA definitely earns, in my opinion, recognition in these regards.” – Bryant Creel, University of Tennessee – Knoxville
“I contacted CEA (Global Education) and began working with a University Relations team member who was very personable and easy to work with. I passed on the criteria required by KCC in order to have a study abroad program: adjust the hours of contact time, design a culinary activity in order to interest our culinary program administrators and students, and be able to go along with the students. CEA was very accommodating regarding all of these concerns. After the setup, I had continued professional and thorough follow-up help with the recruiting of students for 2007. The Regional Consultant’s positive and enthusiastic attitude helped me tremendously when I felt overwhelmed. Her presence at our campus international festival was an important part of our recruitment of students and her on-site visit in Aix was a welcome major event from the students’ perspective. The CEA staff eased me worries by being there to solve any problems that popped up. Our program encountered no major problems due to the very thorough planning by all CEA staff from beginning to end! If this sounds like a rave review, it truly is that!” – Renee Arnold, Kapi’olani Community College
“The preparation, openness and thoughtful care beforehand with staff in the U.S. and abroad has added value to our program. CEA (Global Education) staff really tailored the program to students' needs and concerns, as well as mine.” – Dr. Nhora Lucia Serrano, California State University at Long Beach
