Health & Safety

We Plan for the Health & Safety of Your Students

At CEA Global Education, we strive to make every student's study abroad experience as successful as possible. This means that their health and safety is of prime importance to us. Our concern for each student’s health and safety is a critical factor when developing programs, from choosing program sites to planning and implementing academic and cultural experiences.

All CEA Global Education employees strive to minimize and manage risk. We know that in your various roles as student supporter, parental assurer, university representative and educator, you want to ensure that you are sending or taking your students into a healthy and safe support system in which they can enjoy a quality and immersive international education.

CEA Emergency Response & Preparedness Plan/Global Campus Emergency Plan

While CEA Global Education cannot guarantee the absolute safety of any program participant, we have established detailed health and safety policies, orientation protocols and emergency response procedures for all of CEA's international locations. Our Global Operations staff maintains consistent, routine communication with our international staff to ensure their familiarity with and execution of these protocols.

The comprehensive CEA Emergency Response & Preparedness Plan, and its companion Global Campus Emergency Plan (GCEP), outline for each Global Campus and Partner staff how best to respond to health and safety concerns. Both documents specify in writing an understanding of professional responsibilities in these areas and clarify the lines of communications between our international sites, U.S.-based partner institutions and CEA Global Education Headquarters in Tempe, Arizona, in case an emergency should occur. The GCEP includes all local campus emergency contact numbers, general health, safety and security precautions on site, and specific guidelines for on-site staff on how to address and report the health, legal and/or crime situations that could arise.

Monitor, Evaluate & Communicate

In order to promote a healthy and safe environment for all students, CEA has established the following:

  • Regular and routine communication between international and U.S.-based staff
  • A Health and Safety Committee composed of members of the CEA Executive Management Team
  • Regular attention to updating and staff training on CEA Emergency Response and Preparedness Plan and the GCEP, Student Orientation Protocols and Pandemic Flu Guidelines
