Academic Focus
The Intensive Spanish Language Program at the University of Belgrano is designed for students of all language levels who are dedicated to acquiring and improving their language skills in a short time frame. Your language course will focus on oral comprehension and expression, listening comprehension and grammar components appropriate to your language level. Your language courses, combined with your immersion experience in Buenos Aires, will help you improve your Spanish, as well as explore the Argentine culture.
Each summer session meets for a total of 100 contact hours, which is generally worth 6 credits in the US semester system.
Schedule Summary
Spanish language courses meet for three or five hours per day, Monday through Friday.
Course Registration
You will begin your session with a placement exam. You will then be placed in classes with other students of your own language level. The Intensive Spanish Language program offers language courses at four different language levels: beginner, intermediate, advanced and superior. In order to ensure that you receive credit for the level that you place into, it is in your best interest to have courses at several levels approved by your academic advisor prior to departure.
