Academic Focus
This exciting J-Term program gives students the unique opportunity to gain hands on experience in Marine Biology issues in Costa Rica, a renowned leader in the field of environmental conservation. Through lectures and field work, students will learn about Costa Rican marine ecosystems, biodiversity and environmental issues as well as the importance of Integrated Coastal Management. All classes are conducted in English.
This course is comprised of 45 contact hours and is typically worth 3 credits in the US semester system.
Schedule Summary
Classes meet from Monday through Friday for approximately 5 hours, including visits and field trips. Your final course schedule will be determined at least one month prior to your program start date. Please see the course description for an example list of included visits.
Course Registration
You will be pre-registered for your course prior to your arrival in San Jose.
