Student arriving before 8 p.m. on the start date of their program will be greeted at the Ruzyně airport (PRG) by a friendly CEA representative, who will take you to your CEA housing.

CEA offers an in-depth welcome orientation for the students in your program. CEA staff host a reception, where you'll meet your cohort, as well as go over what you need to know about living in Prague and attending Anglo-American University. Topics will cover a variety of subjects including:
- City & neighborhood tours
- SOS Czech language lesson
- Local customs
- Extracurricular activities
- CEA policies
- Health and safety information
CEA Global Education takes care of administrative and registration processes, as well as payment of tuition fees, at Anglo-American University on behalf of students.

Note: Some courses do require an additional course fee Our Prague staff resides and works locally in Prague. They'll meet you at the airport, provide you with valuable information about the city and guide you through acclimating to your new and exciting surroundings.
- A local perspective on additional travel opportunities in your host country
- Assistance in securing personalized services such as music lessons, sports clubs or volunteer opportunities
- Advocates for you on academic and housing issues
CEA apartments allow you to “live like a local” while in Prague, are all located within 15-30 minutes from the university and CEA Office, and have nearby transportation connections (metro and/or tram).

CEA organizes regular day and overnight trips to culturally and historically relevant destinations outside of Prague, giving you a deeper understanding of the Czech Republic as a whole, as well as surrounding sub-cultures, populations and landscapes. Examples include:

- Kraków, Poland (2 nights)

CEA offers you a variety of cultural activities to help you connect with Prague's culture. Examples include:
- Czech movie night (with English subtitles)
- A night at the opera
- Jazz club night
- City tour
- Visit to Strahov monastery and brewery
- “Ghost” tour
- Museum visits (e.g. Museum of Communism, Technical Museum, Modern Art Gallery)
- Art exhibition opening nights/vernissage
- Czech cooking workshop
CEA's Prague Staff organizes opportunities for you to socialize and interact with your classmates and other Prague students in more casual settings. Examples include:
- Welcome reception
- Hike in the Czech countryside
- Rollerblading along the Vltava River
- Visit to local farmers market / flea market
- Czech hockey game
- Czech soccer game
- Bobsledding (dry course)
- AAU Student Council parties
- Farewell reception
As a student in Prague you'll have opportunities to meet with locals, share in the Czech way of life, and do some good by volunteering your time and contributing to the community.

The CEA Global Alliance in Prague offers many opportunities for students to actively engage in the local culture through in- and out-of-class activities, tours, lectures, and workshops.
- Student photography exhibit (for students of the courses Digital Photography or Documentary Photography)
- Guest lecture series and conferences by AAU professors and external experts and diplomats
- Poetry/fiction reading series (both by outside authors and by students of courses such as the Advanced Creative Writing Workshop)
- Tours of key architectural sites and major architectural renovation/preservation projects in the course Prague Art & Architecture
- Behind-the-scenes visits to international organizations located in Prague (such as Radio Free Europe / Radio Liberty)
- Visits to local underground music clubs and graffiti sites for students of the course Subcultures: Lifestyles, Literature, Music
- Gallery exhibits and opening night events by local artists at AAU’s (art)SPACE gallery
The CEA office provides you with access to computer labs, student lounge, Internet access and more.

As a benefit to studying abroad with CEA in Prague we have provided you a transportation pass to help you get to know your new host city even better. The transportation passes will be distributed to students within 5-10 days after their arrival in Prague. Until that time, the students will need to pay for their own Prague transport.

University services for CEA students studying at Anglo-American University include:

- The largest private English library on site and access to many other libraries provided
- All textbooks (except language textbooks) provided free of charge by AAU Library on payment of refundable deposit, or available online through AAU’s Google-for-Educators platform
- On-campus clubs and organizations
- Discounts to a variety of restaurants nearby the campus
It's important to stay connected while abroad, so CEA has arranged for you to have a cell phone to use during your time in Prague. We've covered the rental and shipping fees and incoming calls are always free, so you only pay for the calls you make! Just be sure to order your phone before you leave home so you can take it with you.

Once you complete your CEA program, you will receive one official transcript from your academic institution in Prague as a part of your program price. You may opt to have this transcript automatically sent to your home institution 90 days after completion of your program and payment of any/all outstanding fees.
