International Internship Course (IIC) - Communication
CEA Partner Institution: Foundation for International Education Location: London, EnglandPrimary Subject Area: Communication Other Subject Area(s): Journalism, Film Studies Level(s): 300 Instruction in: English Recommended Semester Credits: 3 Contact Hours: 178 Description The International Internship Course (IIC) offers an immersion experience into British culture and London life by providing students a workplace experience supported by faculty-led seminars. Students are matched with a London company or organization based on their academic interests and career goals. Students on the IIC typically intern three days per week over an eight-week period. Students attend class meetings throughout their internships in which topics such as cultural differences, organizational culture and learning from challenges are addressed and discussed. The workplace experience forms the basis for the reflective and analytical course assessments.
Past internships included placements in the following: Marketing & Public Relations, Advertising, Event Management, Film Marketing, Location Management, Talent Management, New Media, IT Support, Online Journalism, News Agencies, Independent Record Labels, Music Venues, etc.
Internships are also available in the following areas: Business, Education, Environmental Studies, Political Science, Studio Arts, and Psychology.
