Description
The International Service Learning Course (ISLC) explores the experiences of service learning students in a British context. The ISLC is comprised of a service learning experience supported by faculty-led seminars. Students are matched with a London non-profit, charity or social enterprise organization based on educational background and interests. Students on the ISLC conduct service work three days per week. Students attend class meetings during the course in which topics such as dealing with expectations and realities of service learning, citizenship, social responsibility and intercultural sensitivity are addressed.

Past placements have been in organizations dealing with issues related to the environment and sustainability.

Service Learning placement opportunities also exist in the following areas: Health Studies, Sociology, Political Science, and Education.
