Here's what Vivienne has to say about Aix-en-Provence
Aix en Provence, in the heart of Provence, dates from before the Roman era and nowadays is considered by
the French to be the most desired city in which to live. Aix has a very rich cultural and historical background, and
is a fantastic place to study.
Aix is a "manageable" city. You can go everywhere on foot. In fact, it only takes 15-20 minutes to walk
from one side of the old part of the city to the other. You can feel the history everywhere! Classes in
Aix are held in a historical 17th century building, which adds to the atmosphere.
The city is ideally situated geographically. It is close to the Mediterranean and just a couple of
hours from the Alps. From Aix, it is easy to access Spain, Italy and Switzerland, so you’ll never be lost
for a place to go on the weekend!
Aix will appeal to the nature lovers with its famous Ste Victoire Mountain that Cezanne immortalized, perfect for
great hikes. It also will appeal to those seeking historical and cultural experiences.
Come and study in Aix and live a once in a lifetime experience!
