The American Business School (ABS) was established in 1985 and is one of the first English-speaking business schools in France modeled after American undergraduate business education. The modern campus comprises several buildings that house 10 different schools and more than 3,000 students, 1,500 of which are international. Students who successfully complete their program will receive a transcript from ABS which is accredited by the International Assembly for Collegiate Business Education (IACBE), an American accrediting body based in Kansas. ABS is also a member of NAFSA, EFMD (the European Foundation for Management Development) and EMA (the European Management Academy).
Most classes at ABS are held in the main ABS buildings in the 10th arrondissement. They are located off the Canal St. Martin, a picturesque canal near the Bastille area. There are a few classes, however, that are held 1/2 hour away from the main ABS buildings, in a sports complex in Eaubonne, a north suburb of Paris. The facilities are top-notch (major French sports teams train there), and students attending classes at Eaubonne will have free access to the sports facilities. ABS will finalize class locations at the start of the semester.
Since its inception, ABS has attracted students from all around the world and has evolved from a uniquely Franco-American vision to a completely global approach to business education. It also has established links with several renowned American universities. Paris and its region is one of the major business centers in Europe and the headquarters for many multinational companies. By enrolling at the ABS, you will benefit from the proximity of these firms for internships, company visits and corporate presentations.
ABS offers a variety of services to CEA students including a university ID card, ABS library, computer labs, student café, and sports center at the Eaubonne campus.
