Hélène Jouen
Student Services Coordinator
As the Student Services Coordinator for Paris, Hélène Jouen is the primary contact for all issues related to student services. Hélène assists in students' arrivals, orientation, excursions and activities, as well as addresses any questions or concerns a student may have. Hélène also helps to keep the Director informed and is responsible for responding to students inquiries and concerns in a timely manner.
A native of Paris, Hélène comes to CEA with over 6 years of experience working in study abroad. Before joining CEA, Hélène worked for three years as an international student officer for MICEFA, the managing consortium of the Universités de Paris' reciprocal exchange program between French universities and their American counterparts. Her interest in study abroad comes from her own experience studying abroad at the University of Waterloo in Canada. Her experience abroad had such an impact on her life that she decided to pursue a career in which she could impart her enthusiasm for international exchange onto other students.
At the conclusion of her year abroad in Canada, Hélène returned to Paris to complete an M.A. in Applied Foreign Languages with a Business and Trade concentration. Prior to that, she earned a B.A. in the same field from the Université de Paris, Sorbonne Nouvelle. Hélène is trilingual in French, English and Spanish.
