CEA Global Campus in Dublin Faculty
CEA Global Education carefully chooses faculty members according to their expertise in their respective academic fields and upon their proven skills in developing and using active and experiential learning methods in the classroom. All CEA faculty members hold advanced university degrees required for teaching in U.S. institutions of Higher Education. In addition, faculty members undergo a rigorous process of frequent internal evaluation, continual self-assessment and periodic training to ensure that the high teaching standards CEA holds are being consistently met. Each instructor brings to the classroom a rich store of intellectual, professional and cross-cultural experience.
Francis Kelly
Campus Director - Ireland
As Campus Director – Ireland, Francis Kelly oversees current CEA partner program in National University of Ireland, Galway. He will provide strategic and operational management to the local site directors and help develop relations with the universities and other vendors in both cities. In addition, Francis is actively working to develop a CEA Global Campus in Dublin.
Prior to joining CEA, Francis was Director of Development for the Dublin Business School (Ireland’s largest private business school) and Director of the European Business School, a private institute he founded in 1993 specializing in study abroad programs for European students. He has also extensive teaching experience in France (where he lived for 7 years) and Ireland in a wide range of subject areas. His professional experience has made him keenly sensitive to the needs of study abroad students from around the world. He speaks English, Irish and French fluently and has a working knowledge of Spanish and Italian.
Francis obtained his MBS (International Marketing) from the Smurfit Graduate School of Business, University College Dublin (Ireland). He also holds a Professional Certificate in Marketing from the Marketing Institute of Ireland, a Maitrise from the Universite de Lille lll, France and a first class honours BA in French and Irish from University College Cork where he also won a college scholarship during his studies there. Francis is a member of the Marketing Institute of Ireland and EAIE (European Association of Institutes of Education).

Darragh O Briain
International Business
As Associate Academic Dean for Dublin’s Global Campus, Mr. Darragh O Briain assists in managing faculty relationships and appointments, schedules courses, manages student and faculty grievances, assists in recommending curriculum updates, provides academic advising, and oversees the day-to-day academic activities of the Dublin Global Campus.
Mr. O Briain has vast lecturing experience in Market Research, Event Management, Marketing Communications, Sales Management and Entrepreneurship with the American College Dublin, Griffith College, and the European Business School. In 2005, he was elevated to the position of Academic Director of the European Business School, where he was responsible for overseeing faculty and academia for visiting U.S. and European semester students. Mr. O Briain is the Academic Dean of The International School of Business, where is responsible for faculty, students, curriculum development, assessments and course validation. Mr. O Briain has also sat on the Academic Executive Board of Dublin Business School and been involved with an expert panel for degree course validation on behalf of HETAC (Irish State Higher Education Accreditation Committee).
Mr. O Briain holds an M.A. from Trinity College, where he focused his thesis studies on advertising, communication, and media. He also has an Advanced Diploma in Marketing techniques and a B.S. in Marketing, jointly awarded by Dublin Institute of Technology and Trinity College.

Darren Kelly, PhD
Communication and Cultural Studies
Dr. Darren Kelly, a native of Dublin spent over 10 years working throughout Dublin with NGO and community development organizations as an educator and trainer. He subsequently received his interdisciplinary doctorate in Geography from St. Patrick’s College, DCU where he also completed his B.A. in English and Geography.
His Ph.D. research mapped the spatial distribution of asylum seekers living in Dublin and explored the effects that immigration and globalization has had on Dublin’s physical and socio-cultural landscape. In particular, he is interested in the contested nature of contemporary Irish identity and the development of effective inner city integration strategies. In addition to publishing and receiving awards for his work and research, he has contributed to academic books and journals on various aspects of study abroad.
Dr. Kelly has lectured on Comparative Literature as well as Literary and Cultural Theory at St. Patrick’s College for many years. He has devised and taught Cultural Studies programs for IES in Dublin. For five years, he has worked with Beloit College in Wisconsin to develop their faculty development and study abroad programs in China, Ecuador, Russia, and Senegal. In 2007-2008, he was a Fulbright Scholar-in-Residence at Beloit where he taught classes and conducted research. His current research on study abroad includes the effects and uses of internet communication, travel-blogging, and photography. He also has given numerous papers and guest lectures across Europe and America.
He greatly enjoys sports, drama, and going to the theatre. He has also written and directed several plays for the stage. Dr. Kelly and Tina live in Dublin with their two young children, Alexandra and Samuel.

Simon Bradley
International Marketing Strategy
Simon Bradley earned his Master's degree in Marketing Management from the Michael Smurfit Graduate School of Business at University College Dublin and his undergraduate degree in International Business from the same. He's published supplementary materials for two editions of Marketing Strategy (Aaker and McLoughlin, 2008 and 2010). Simon taught third-level business for seven years at University College Dublin's International School of Business and Dublin Business School. Before that, he worked with European and U.S. third-level students studying abroad in Ireland.
Simon's earlier work experience includes experience at Merrill Lynch Bank and French Grant Brand Consultancy. He spent a year traveling abroad and perfecting his Spanish while living in Central America, after which he specialized as a consultant, working on a project basis in executive training, corporate communications, lecturing, market research and digital media production. Professionally, his interests lie in talent development and retention, internal communications, and achieving brand potential through excellence in corporate culture. While native Irish, Simon is also fluent in spoken and written Spanish.
Passionate about conservation, art, cultures and ecology, Simon spends his free time either doing something really active outdoors or drawing, writing or editing photography at his desk.

Marie Leddy
Business
Marie Leddy lectures in Entrepreneurship at the International School of Business Dublin, and Communications and Business English at the Dundalk Institute of Technology. She currently works in both the private and public education sector.
Ms. Leddy received her MBS (Entrepreneurship and Marketing) from Dundalk Institute of Technology. As part of her thesis studies, she developed a Model of Human Touch to aid businesses in achieving a superior competitive advantage. She also has a Bachelor of Business Studies Degree, specializing in Marketing and e-Business.
Born and raised in Ireland, Ms. Leddy is very fond of traveling and has studied abroad in Helsinki, Finland. It was from this international experience that she decided to become a teacher of ESL (English as a Second Language). She also has lived and worked in South Korea as an English Language Instructor. In her free time, Ms. Leddy enjoys traveling, reading, hiking and meeting new people. She also has a keen interest in Asian Culture and undertook a Diploma in Asian Studies.

Catherine O’Reilly, MBS
Communication & Global Competence
Catherine O’Reilly teaches Communication & Global Competence at the CEA Global Campus in Dublin, Ireland. She brings six years of teaching experience at the university, both undergraduate and post-graduate level and 20 years of senior management experience. She's taught international students from all parts of the world at university level. She is passionate about life-learning and development of the individual and uses a very positive teaching philosophy inside in the classroom that is respectful of the individual and varying international cultures.
Ms. O'Reilly is currently researching a Doctoral Degree in Managerial Competences/Competencies at Nottingham Trent University. She has a Master's Degree in Business & Services Management from University College Dublin in Dublin 4, Ireland and a Bachelor's Degree in Management from Trinity College in Dublin 2, Ireland.
Ms. O’Reilly She enjoys being a mother to her five year old son, looks to cook and entertain at home, is a keen reader of both fiction and non-fiction, is a budding business writing journalist and enjoys being a spectator of all sports. |
Kelli Ann Maoileoin, PhD
History
Kelli Ann Maoileoin teaches The History of Ireland: People, Politics & Power and is currently a lecturer in Irish History at Champlain College-Dublin, where she has lectured since 2008. In the past, she has lectured in Heritage Management at the Dublin Institute of Technology (2006-2009) in the School of Hospitality Management and Tourism, where she also spent her 2006-07 Fulbright Research and Teaching Fellowship. Ms. Maoileoin was Associate Professor of Anthropology at Franklin Pierce College in Rindge, New Hampshire from 1996-2006, where she taught courses in Anthropology, Prehistoric Archaeology, and Applied Anthropology, and ran the field schools in Archaeology in New Hampshire and Ireland.
Her area of expertise is rather broad. She has a background in the Irish Neolithic and Bronze Age, and an enduring interest in heritage site interpretation and tourism. Ms. Maoileoin has many years of experience with study abroad programs and international education. She holds dual citizenship in America and Ireland, speaks English as a first language, is working on improving her Irish language skills (her family spoke Irish when she was a child), and can communicate poorly in German, Italian, Romansch, and French. Spring 2011 is her first term at CEA.
She earned both her Doctorate and Master's Degree in Anthropology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst in 1998. She has a Bachelor's Degree in Anthropology from Goddard College in Plainfield, VT. Ms. Maoileoin has been riding and training show jumpers for more years than she cares to admit! She currently teaches and trains at Bunageddy Equestrian Centre in Roscommon. She is also an avid photographer and filmmaker.

Inju Yang-McCourt, PhD
Business
Inju Yang-McCourt teaches Cross-Cultural Management at the CEA Global Campus in Dublin. She has extensively researched and been published in the area of management, and has a special interest in cross cultural issues and the emotional sides of organizations. She has lectured on these topics for five years at various institutions, including University College Dublin's campuses in Ireland and Singapore. Ms. Yang-McCourt has taught Cross-Cultural Management, Principles of Management, and Managing Change.
She holds a doctorate in Organization Behavior and an MBA from Smurfit School of Business, University College Dublin, Ireland. Ms. Yang-McCourt also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Korean Language & Literature from Sogang University, Korea, which is her home country. While studying in Korea for her Bachelor’s Degree, Ms. Yang-McCourt had the opportunity to study abroad for one and a half years in China, where she studied Chinese Literature. Through her experiences, she developed a strong cultural awareness along with Chinese and Japanese language skills.

Stephen McMahon
Irish Literature
Stephen McMahon is Irish and has engaged in a career of teaching at the university level and with study-abroad students since 2002.
He received a Master of Arts in English (Creative Writing) from Queens University in Belfast and a Bachelor of Arts in English and Human Development from Dublin City University (St. Patrick’s College) where he was nominated for a Millennium Scholarship Award. He has also completed additional studies at the Centre for Teaching and Learning at University College Dublin.
For the last eight years, he has been teaching with the Department of English at DCU (St. Patrick’s College) where he holds the position of Senior English Tutor. His responsibilities include facilitating and mentoring undergraduate students from first to final year in all aspects of their college experience, academic studies, and creative endeavors. A specialist in small group work, he has taught in several multidisciplinary Study Abroad programs focusing on the creative arts in Ireland, with an emphasis on literature.
In conjunction with his teaching, Stephen writes short fiction and poetry and has been shortlisted for several awards including the Hennessy New Irish Writing Award and The Fish Short Story Prize. His work has been published in several creative writing journals and anthologies.
Aside from teaching and writing, Stephen is a keen photographer with particular interests in travel, documentary, and sports photography. In recent years, he has been commissioned to cover several major international sporting events including the Tour de France and World Track Cycling Championships. When the time presents itself, Stephen loves to travel and has toured Europe, the USA, Australia, and the Caribbean.

Timothy F. McNulty
European Integration Studies
Timothy F. McNulty spent five years working in Irish financial services in the areas of treasury marketing and currency. He also taught general and European law to third-level business students for 10 years. Timothy has worked with European students in top Dublin colleges for 12 years, including seminars to visiting members of European Parliament. He has international lecturing experience, including as an Invitational Lecturer at Beijing International Studies University in Summer 2007.
Timothy holds a Barrister at Law Degree from the Honourable Society of King's Inn in Dublin, Ireland. His Professional Legal Studies Diploma is from the same, and his BA Honors Degree in Politics and History is from the University College Dublin. While his professional interests range from lecturing to practicing law in Dublin, he's also interested in music, literature and travel.
