Vancouver Language Centre
Accreditation
Vancouver Language Center is recognized by the Mexican Federal Secretary of Public Education (SEP).

Vancouver Language Center

Vancouver Language Center (VLC) in Guadalajara was founded in 1997 and is the sister center to the Vancouver Language Center in Vancouver. VLC prides itself on offering diverse courses that foster intercultural relations between students. Foreign Spanish-speaking students mingle with local Spanish-speakers; English language teachers learn Spanish and TEFL students acquire practical experience within the school. This symbiotic relationship between students and staff of all languages offers an unique language learning environment.

In addition to its recognition by the Mexican Federal Secretary of Public Education (SEP), VCL maintains membership within the following organizations:

  • The Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Guadalajara, Jalisco
  • COPARMEX (Mexican Entrepreneurial Confederation)
  • CEC (Canadian Education Centre)
  • NAFSA (Association of International Educators)
  • TEAL (Teachers of English as an additional language)

The main teaching buildings of VLC are located about 20 minutes away from Guadalajara’s historical city center. Within the teaching buildings CEA students will have access to a computer lab, library, cafeteria and access to sports facilities. Approximately 300 students attend classes at VLC.
