The St. Petersburg State Polytechnic University residence hall is located in a spacious, 9-storey, modern building, on the main IIEP campus, in a safe residential area of St. Petersburg, a 20-minute metro ride from the historical center of the city. The modern facilities include study rooms, computer labs, WiFi and high-speed LAN internet access, libraries, gym, a resident nurse and security staff on duty 24/7. Students live in suites comprising of 2 bedrooms with 2 students sharing a room. Each suite has its own bathroom and shower as well as a kitchen with a stove, fridge, microwave and basic kitchen utensils. Daily breakfast is included with this housing option. The residence hall is an ideal place to make friends with Russian and other international students.
Homestay
There is probably no better way for students to be immersed in their host culture than to share everyday life with a Russian family. Generally, the families do not speak English, so it is recommended that only students who already have a good knowledge of Russian should apply for this housing option, Each homestay has been carefully chosen to ensure the best possible living arrangements for each student. Homestays may consist of a single woman or a divorced mother (with or without children) or a traditional two-parent household. A single room, breakfast and 1 other meal are provided daily. Homestays do not have internet connections. In general, homestays are located 2 to 3 metro stops from the SPbSPU-IIEP campus. This housing option allows students to continue practicing Russian outside of the classroom while learning about Russian culture. All CEA families are welcoming and generous with their home, but participants should remember that they are guests and will be expected to adapt to the traditions and rules of their host family. Students must request to live in a homestay upon application and an additional housing fee will apply.

Independent Living
CEA highly recommends that students live in the housing provided. Requests for permission to arrange independent housing must be made on the online housing or paper application form as determined by your program no later than the application closure date. For academic year students, requests for permission to arrange independent living arrangements for the second semester must be made no later than the second semester's application closure date. Students whose requests are approved will receive a rebate for housing. CEA resident directors will not provide assistance with independent housing and will not speak or act on behalf of any student who chooses to pursue such arrangements. Rebates are not granted for students who move out of their CEA housing or choose to pursue independent living arrangements after the application closure date.
