Concordia Apartments - Standard
The Concordia Apartment complex is located on the outlying areas of the university campus within an easy 5-15 minute walk to many of the university’s classroom buildings, the Neelsie student center and other university facilities. All students staying at Concordia will be accommodated in single rooms in apartments with 2 or 3 other students. Each apartment has a spacious living and/or dining area, a fully equipped kitchen and either shared or en-suite bathrooms depending on the set-up of the apartment. Each room is furnished with a bed, desk and closet and also has an internet hook-up for student personal computers. A common TV room is accessible to all residents staying at Concordia and while the majority of residents are international students, there are also a few South African students living in the complex. The apartment complex has 24-hour security and access to the residence is controlled, available only to students with a security access card. Laundry facilities with washing machines and driers are located on the premises and can be used with an activated security card. The bathroom and kitchen areas of each apartment will be cleaned twice a week and garbage will be removed on a daily basis. While there are no phones in individual apartments, there are 4 public phones from which international calls can be placed in the complex.
Independent Living
CEA highly recommends that students live in the housing provided. Requests for permission to arrange independent housing must be made no later than the application closure date and be received in writing. CEA onsite directors will not provide assistance with independent housing and will not speak or act on behalf of any student who chooses to pursue such arrangements. Rebates are not granted for students who move out of their CEA housing or choose to pursue independent living arrangements after the application closure date.
