January 28, 2008

In the early hours of Sunday, January 27, 2008, fourteen people were arrested in and around Barcelona for suspected terrorist activity.

CEA communicated with all students currently studying onsite in all six of CEA’s Spanish destinations as well as with their emergency contacts to reiterate important health and safety precautions already delivered during the CEA orientation program. This incident serves as a reminder to all Americans living and traveling abroad to remain aware of their surroundings at all times and be vigilant to suspicious activity.
