The Curriculum

CEA GlobalCampus Network International Studies Abroad

Designed with today's student in mind, the International Studies abroad curriculum at each CEA Global Campus is professionally focused and centered on intercultural competency, immersion and international connection, all while providing students studying overseas with active learning through hands-on activities.

Recognizing that multicultural competence rises above monocultural immersion, students studying overseas with CEA are provided with courses in fields of study which address the topics of tomorrow, not simply the narrow histories of selected locations. Prominent International Studies abroad fields of study include:

  • Sustainable Development
  • Globalized Economy
  • Changing Identities in a global world
  • Communication, technology and society
  • Global Health
  • Conflict and conflict resolution

The innovative curriculum available while studying overseas is centered on engaging students in dynamic activities and lessons that bring relevance to their future educational, personal, and professional pursuits and equip students with the tools they will need to address global issues. Learning and concepts for all subject areas are presented through the framework of active learning. Examples of these types of International Studies abroad activities include:

  • Field study
  • In class debate and discussion
  • Company visits
  • Guest lecturers
