Insurance for Study Abroad |
 |
In the best interest of our students, CEA automatically registers all study abroad participants with our selected medical insurance provider(s) to ensure that their coverage meets with CEA standards for students living abroad. Students’ automatic enrollment:
- Enables them access international medical support to which they’re entitled
- Provides them with essential information needed upon sudden medical attention
- Covers international health instances most normal health insurance policies fail to cover
- Allows CEA to step in and guarantee proper medical protection for all its students
The insurance fee varies according to the length of the program and is automatically added to your final balance due to CEA. By including this charge as part of the overall cost for your study abroad program, financial aid may cover a portion or all of this expense.
After the withdrawal date for your program passes and after all other participating students have paid in full, you will be registered for CEA Global Education insurance through HTH Worldwide or with CISI based on your program destination. These comprehensive medical insurance plans do not carry a deductible, and cover a maximum of $250,000 for any illness or accident abroad that occurs onsite during your program.
Coverage includes most medical expenses, emergency evacuation and a full range of 24-hour medical assistance. If you plan to travel before or after your program, CEA recommends that you research, arrange and pay for appropriate international medical insurance coverage.
