Marketing Leadership
Alexis Trono
Alexis supports CEA CAPA’s departments by overseeing marketing product launches from start to finish. This process includes determining the scope of a project, managing communication, setting timelines with stakeholders, and overseeing the completion and implementation of projects and initiatives. Using her background in graphic design, she also provides art and creative direction ensuring the project’s alignment to the organization's goals, vision, and branding.
Alexis started with CEA CAPA in 2014 as a Graphic Designer and transitioned to the Marketing Project Manager role in 2019. Alexis received her BFA in Art with an emphasis in Design from the University of Hawaii at Manoa. A travel enthusiast, she has visited over 20 countries and spent part of her childhood living abroad in the Philippines and Japan.
Outside of work, Alexis is a big Arizona Cardinals fan, enjoys traveling all over the globe, dabbles in crochet, and takes long walks with her Dachshund-Yorkie pup Ollie. Her goal is to visit Antarctica—the one continent she has never set foot on—which she'll check off her list in December 2023.
Heather Gregg Reed
As Director of Student Engagement, Heather oversees student engagement initiatives for all study and intern abroad alumni, including CEA CAPA’s Alumni Ambassador Program. Having spent more than a decade in the international education field, Heather has served in roles across institutional relations, alumni outreach, student engagement, and marketing. She has a particular passion for Digital Storytelling and has leveraged the medium to help students, educators, and everyday people build community and connection. Heather holds a BFA in Education and Theatre from Shenandoah University. She is a serial hobbyist who enjoys making films, directing theatre, renovating old houses, and visiting U.S. National Parks with her husband, children, and pups.
